Abilene SP Revisited

We decided we needed to take a break and made a reservation at Abilene SP for a couple of nights during Labor Day. Unfortunately, I didn't realize that they only had space at the Wagon Wheel campground. That is a round, RV park where the RVs are about 5 foot apart. Needless to say, My Sweetie wasn't happy about the arrangements because we really had no room to enjoy sitting outside Rocky.

Still, we managed to get away for a while. We didn't get to do any hiking there but we decided to visit the Abilene Zoo.

The zoo was fun! We took a ride on their little 'train' or 'tram' or whatever they call it and then walked around looking at the critters and decided which ones we would have liked for breakfast or supper.

Of course, our traveling companion on this trip enjoyed its coffee.

 

And, our little bear couldn't quite reach the door when it decided it was time for bed.
