I decided a few weeks ago to collect coins based on a very specific criteria. This criteria turned out to be foreign coins minted in 1953.
Going through my entire foreign coin collection of about 300 coins, I found I had only two that met my new criteria. They were:
Country | Year | Value |
UK | 1953 | 1 Shilling |
UK | 1953 | 1 Shilling |
Yep. Both of them were 1 Shilling coins.
With this in mind, I surfed my favorite coin site to see what they had available. I felt lucky in that Miller's Mint had just received a bunch of foreign coins and I was trying to get as many of the 1953s that I could find.
I placed an order for a number of coins. Alas, some were out of stock by the time my order was filled but I came up with a good number of coins.
