Well, we didn't get to make the trip to Davis Mountains State Park. We were going to test our cold-weather camping abilities! We decided to go anyway and stay at the Indian Lodge (inside Davis Mountains SP). We had a great time even though I twisted my knee the first afternoon we were that.
That was back in November. And we won't be going camping anywhere until March, at least.
I recently underwent surgery and had 1/3 of my colon removed in order to ensure that the big 'C' wasn't in my immediate future.
But that really means a certain curtailment of camping for a while. I am restricted in what I am able to lift and am still too macho to let my wife do all of the heavy lifting so we will just take it easy.
So, we are planning on Dinosaur Valley State Park in March. I hope we can make it then!
